In the early 20th century, Pittsburgh functioned as a booming industrial capital by producing steel. En route to the city, stop for lunch at a charming, historic tavern dating back to the 1700s. After arriving in “ Steel City,” scale the side of Mt. Washington with a ride on the Duquesne Incline. Completed in 1877, this funicular and track were recently restored to carry travelers to the top of the lookout point. From the observation deck, marvel at the best view of Pittsburgh while learning about this illustrious city with a local guide.
